David McCorkle

David L. McCorkle is President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Food Merchants

Association (PFMA); a statewide trade association. Prior to joining PFMA, he worked in Pennsylvania Governor Richard Thornburgh's administration, the Lycoming County Office of Youth Services (1971-78) and the Cleveland Public School System (1968-71).

He has served on the board of trustees for the Food Marketing Institute, the National Grocers Association, as chair of Food Industry Association Executives and on the Legislative Policy Committee for the National Association of Convenience Stores. PFMA was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Dairy Stakeholders in 1998 and McCorkle served as a director and chair of the organization prior to its merger with The Pennsylvania Center for Dairy Excellence.

McCorkle received a master's degree from John Carroll University and holds a B.S. degree from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. Dave and his wife Kathy live in Mechanicsburg, PA. They are the parents of Peter (Diane) and Erin (Matt) and grandparents of five grandsons and a granddaughter, Anna.
